Urban Mentoring Conference

The Urban Mentoring Conference
On April 24th
Where: Villanova University, East Lounge in Dougherty Hall (located on main campus across from the Connelly Center)
When: April 24th from 3:30-5:30pm
The Conference will feature talks given by current student mentors working in public Philadelphia high schools including Strawberry Mansion.
Featured Speakers Include:
– Jamie Meeker, a sophomore at Villanova University and secondary education major will discuss the topic of absence in urban education and her mentoring experience
– Colleen Knill, a sophomore secondary education major also at Villanova University will discuss her paper “Learning and Unlearning”
– And key note speaker, Zanny Alter, a senior at Bryn Mawr College will discuss her experience as a mentor and senior thesis regarding urban education
