The office of Refugee Settlement has two funding opportunities:

Refugee Home Based Child Care is due May 21th

We are inviting you to attend informational conference calls for these two funding opportunities:

1. “Preparing Competitive Proposals for ORR’s Refugee Home Based Child Care Discretionary Grants

·         Tuesday April 16 2013 at 2 pm ET
·         Friday April 19 2013 at 2 pm ET

2. “Preparing Competitive Proposals for ORR’s Refugee Microenterprise Discretionary Grants”

·         Tuesday April 23 2013 at 2 pm ET
·         Friday April 26 at 2 pm ET

Who should attend: Any eligible non for profit organization interested in applying for or partnering on this grant.

Overview: ISED Solutions will offer one hour phone conference for interested parties on preparing competitive proposals for ORR’s HBCC and RMED Program. This call will provide attendees with an overview of the Request for Proposals (RFP) as well as possible program design and proposal development strategies to use when preparing applications. The conference call is free of charge.

We will also outline ISED Solutions Business Development Services, which include evaluation, impact measurement, program design and proposal development.

Experts:

Marijana Ababovic provided technical assistance for HBCC in 2011-2012 and RMED since 2006 though consulting visits, individual assistance and exchange of best practices. Marijana is an expert on proposal design feasibility and implementation.

Dan Krotz, ISED’s Lead Consultant, worked on both designing and implementing refugee child care programs in Minnesota. Dan was also the primary technical assistance provider for ORR Microenterprise programs and Refugee Agriculture Program.

George Wright, ISED Solutions Senior Consultant, has a 12-year history in the refugee services sector and has an intimate understanding of social and economic self-sufficiency programs for refugees. He is a skilled grant writer.
