Are you interested in learning more about how to make your college/university campus smoke-free or tobacco-free? Then this event is for you!

What: Tobacco-Free Campus Summit

Where: 801 Market Street, 11th floor, Conference Room 1154A, Philadelphia, PA 19107

When: April 5, 2016 – 8:30AM to 1:00PM

The goal of the Summit is to bring together leaders from universities and colleges to discuss, promote, encourage and help facilitate smoke-free campus policies in Philadelphia.

This half-day conference will provide a forum for participants to:

  • hear from institutions in Philadelphia who have adopted smoke-free or tobacco-free policies;
  • discuss policy options that meet the needs of the variety of campuses in Philadelphia;
  • share ideas with leadership, faculty, administrators, HR, and students from other Institutions;
  • receive follow-up technical assistance for implementing tobacco-free policies.

Agenda (subject to change)

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM Light breakfast

9:00 AM – 9:45 AM Introduction and keynote speaker

9:45 AM – 11:00 AM Panel discussion featuring representatives from tobacco-free/smoke-free institutions in Philadelphia (PCOM, Jefferson, La Salle, U Sciences and Community College of Philadelphia)

11:00 AM – 11:15 AM Break

11:15 AM – 12:20 PM Breakout discussion groups (Enforcement, Neighborhood Relations, Policy, Other tobacco products, Cessation)

12:30 AM – 1:00 PM Closing remarks and plans for next steps

This conference is intended for school leadership, representatives from student affairs and student health offices, HR staff, facilities managers, faculty, students and anyone interested in advocating for stricter smoking policies on campus.
