Posted by on April 23, 2007

The Texas Center for Service-Learning (TxCSL), a statewide initiative of Region 14 Education Service Center and the Texas Education Agency, is proud to announce open registration for the 4th annual TxCSL Summer Institute in Service-Learning on June 13-15, 2007, in Austin, Texas. This year’s Institute focuses on “Transforming Learning, Cultivating Leaders” and will help you:

* LEARN through engaging workshops by nationally known presenters, including Cathy Berger Kaye, Jim Toole, Helen Stiff-Williams, and Tracy Harkins;
* CELEBRATE the remarkable work of Texas Project Ignition sites Medina Valley High School (a two-time finalist) and Shallowater High School (a three-time finalist and this year’s “Best of the Best”) through a special State Farm Project Ignition dinner;
* ENJOY a gala evening event at the stunning Texas State History Museum and the new Blanton Museum of Art; and
* CONNECT through invaluable networking opportunities with experts, colleagues, and friends.

For more information and to register on-line, visit the TxCSL website at http://www.txcsl.org/institute/index.php. (To take advantage of early bird rates, please register by April 30.) We hope to see you in June in Austin!
