Tabling Opportunity: Community Awareness Day

Posted by on March 3, 2006

Jones Memorial Community Church Of God In Christ, located at 3050 North 22nd Street 19132, in conjunction with Family Life Center of Pennsylvania, is sponsoring a Community Awareness Day on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the church, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. We need your organization, agency, firm, company to attend to make it a true success. I am the Youth Pastor and it is my pleasure and honor on behalf of the Pastor, Bishop R. T. Jones, Jr., to invite you to attend.

At 9:00am you will be able to set up your table space and enjoy the early morning refreshments as you greet and meet Bishop Jones and the Youth Leaders of our church. From 10:00am until 2:00pm we will have our Community Awareness Day.

Our community needs to know about the services you offer, programs you can bring out to them, summer opportunities you will have available for them, and employment opportunities you have or will have for our youth, young adults and adults. We need you to come and help us as we “rebuild our community, one family at a time”. Your attendance will help in building HOPE in families were there is no HOPE.

At 2:00 pm we will have a few representatives from those assembled to speak to the entire community about their road to where they are today. My desire is that they talk about their business, some are former prison inmates, some are still in college. I am trying to contact Mr. Bernard Hopkins the boxer, to get him to come. He was very engaging as he spoke during the NAACP Martin Luther King All Faith Service in January.

Again, this will assist our youth and families in knowing that even though they may have gotten off on the wrong foot, there is still HOPE for tomorrow. Refreshments will be served. There will be city agencies and various private organizations for the parents and youth to receive information from so they may plan for the summer.

I look forward to your very favorable response.
For the Sake of Unity,
Elder Elisha B. Morris 215-884-6545 home 215-228-3939 church
