A Symposium on U.S. Child Nutrition Programs: Past, Present, and Future

The Child Nutrition Archives at the National Food Service Management Institute (NFSMI) is pleased to announce its first symposium on Child Nutrition Programs (CNP). The event will be held on the Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi, March 20 – 21, 2006. The program will feature scholarly presentations concerning the history, implementation, and development of the federally funded U.S. CNP (National School Lunch, School Breakfast, Special Milk, and Child and Adult Care Food Program) and feeding programs that predate the federal programs. In addition, there will be a plenary session featuring noted speakers, a luncheon speaker, and a panel discussion with invited participants. Special discussions and exhibits are planned to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the National School Lunch Act.
