The Cultural Data Project (CDP) was first launched in Pennsylvania in 2004 through the collaboration of a group of public and private grantmakers and arts advocates. Based on its success in Pennsylvania, it has expanded, and now serves nearly 16,000 nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in 14 states and the District of Columbia. Following a year-long strategic planning process, the CDP’s mission is now to empower the nonprofit arts and cultural sector with high-quality data and resources in order to strengthen its vitality, performance, and public impact. Position Overview

Part of the Programs & Client Services department, the Support Center is a team of customer service specialists that provides on-demand phone, email, and chat assistance to all of the stakeholders making use of the Cultural Data Project’s (CDP) products and services. The Support Center works to ensure that the CDP provides the highest quality assistance to arts and culture organizations and participating grantmakers when filling out their Data Profiles, running reports, or learning more about how to use their data in decision making. The Support Center responds to inquiries and requests for usage and technical assistance, reviews submitted Data Profiles for accuracy, and educate and assist with Data Profile entries and revisions. Going far beyond technical support, the Support Center strives to mentor and inspire the CDP’s stakeholders.

The Support Center Specialist is responsible for responding to inquiries and Support Center requests for usage and technical assistance; reviewing and verifying submitted Data Profiles; and communicating with stakeholders to assist in Data Profile revisions. The Support Center Specialist reports to the Support Center Supervisor.
