Student Services Symposium: Supporting Students to Success

Register now to attend the annual Student Services Symposium in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at the Hilton Harrisburg on Monday, May 17, 2010.

Student Services Symposium: Supporting Students to Success! is presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in partnership with the Center for Schools and Communities.

This symposium provides the opportunity to support Pennsylvania’s schools in the development of effective strategies, including implementation of school climate standards, to help students reach their education and career goals. The 2010 symposium will focus on components integral to developing resiliency/school climate approach to enable each student to grow into an inspired, productive, fulfilled life-long learner and to become a responsible citizen:

• High expectations
• Meaningful student engagement
• Connectiveness and bonding
• Skills for life
• Clear and consistent boundaries
• Unconditional support

There is no registration fee to attend. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Participants are responsible for their own lodging and travel costs and arrangements.

Please make your hotel arrangements now by contacting the Hilton Harrisburg directly at 717-233-6000.  A block of rooms is being held at a special rate of $134.00 per night single/double. This rate will be available through Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Rooms will quickly sell out and the special conference rate will only be available through this date.
