Strengthening your Organization with Corporate Volunteers

The Nonprofit Center and United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern NJ Present a Workshop and Expert Panel on “Strengthening your Organization with Corporate Volunteers”

Many of today’s employees are entering the workforce with the expectation that volunteering will be a part of their professional careers. Businesses have found that employees, particularly Millennials, consciously choose companies that have social responsibility programs.

Today nearly three-quarters of businesses encourage their employees to volunteer with nonprofit organizations during paid working hours and many build formal volunteer programs into their structure.

Nonprofits that effectively tap into that existing commitment benefit from both people power and the relationship that comes from building this positive connection.

Hoping to support nonprofits in benefitting from the great resource of corporate volunteers, The Nonprofit Center and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, are teaming up to present a ½ day program on creating a win-win scenario for nonprofits and corporate volunteer programs.

The expert-led workshop will be followed by a panel featuring corporate representatives who are successfully running impactful volunteer programs.

When: October 21, 2015, 9 am to noon (8:30 registration/networking/refreshments)

Where: United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern NJ, 1709 Ben Franklin Pkwy, Phila.
