Stimulus funds available for out-of-school youth programs

The Philadelphia Council for College and Career Success, a subcommittee of the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board, will release a Request for Proposals on July 13th to allocate federal stimulus funds, which will be available as of October 1st.

The Council is responsible for the allocation of funds awarded through the federal stimulus package in Philadelphia.  These funds will support year-round programming for out-of-school youth from Philadelphia. The RFP seeks qualified, committed and innovative organizations to develop and implement GED to college, urban corps, job placement, and occupational skills programs.

A Bidders’ Conference will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd, from 9:30- 11:30am at Philadelphia Youth Network, 714 Market Street, Suite 304, Philadelphia.  Applicants are required to submit a Letter of Intent to Apply by Friday, July 24th.

All applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the Bidders’ Conference.   RSVP to solson@pyninc.org and include your name, organization and number of people attending.

Proposals are due Monday, August 10th by 4:30pm. The RFP will be available on Monday here.
