Starting A Development Program: An Overview of Fundraising

What will you learn? How to assess your development program * How to define your case * How to create a development plan * The role of volunteers * The roles of annual giving, major gifts, special events, and grantwriting * What internal policies are needed * What communications materials are needed. Who should attend? AFP has developed this new program for small, non-profit organizations with few or no paid staff. Those responsible for fundraising, executive directors, and volunteers working in the areas of fundraising are encouraged to attend. Individuals seeking to enter the development profession are also encouraged to participate. Participants will be eligible to benefit from a complete scholarship package subsidizing attendance at other AFP educational programs and to join AFP at a reduced Introductory Member rate. Cost $20. Pick three dates among Thurday-January 30, Thursday-February 6, Tuesday-February 11, Tuesday-February 18, Friday-March 7, Thursday-March 13, Thursday-April 17 in case the date is full.
