SPACES: Artist-In-Residence program

Posted by on February 10, 2014

The Village is now accepting proposals for SPACES: Artist-In-Residence program.
Proposal deadline: February 28, 2014

Introducing Spaces
One part arts practice, one part social activism, SPACES is a rare opportunity to explore artmaking, relationship building, and emergent strategies within the context of a community-based artist residency. Through this residency, youth and families in North Central Philadelphia collaborate with resident artists to discover how the process of sharing creativity, and engaging in meaningful exchanges of information within a community, can nurture the creation of SPACE—space to create, to dream, to build, and to transform physical landscapes.

SPACES is the ONLY residency in Philadelphia where artists live and work on site, in the spirit of community engagement.
