Job Title:
Soltane One-year Coworker

Organizational Context:
Camphill Soltane is a fourteen-year-old non-profit organization that is
part of a worldwide network of more than 100 organizations. The mission
of Camphill Soltane is to provide a bridge into adulthood for young
people with developmental disabilities. Camphill Soltane offers these
young adults a rich Youth Guidance program, which includes further
academic education, life-skills training, job placement, the arts, and
community living. Long-term and one-year coworkers from many parts of
the world, along with young adults with developmental disabilities, live
in fellowship, sharing housing, meals, and daily life.

The Work: One-year coworkers participate in a variety of program areas
while gaining career experience, investigating new lifestyle
opportunities, and/or earning money toward future or past tuition
obligations. As members of the community, one-year coworkers also take
part in house-holding, gardening, training courses, sports, cultural
activities, and festival celebrations.

The Rewards:
o Cooperative community housing with full room and board.
o Monthly stipend in addition to above.
o Health insurance after 3 months of service
o Vacation Funds after 11 months of service
o AmeriCorps Education Award of $4,750 for those who join and meet the
requirements of AmeriCorps Training in Youth Guidance philosophy and
methods.

the world in pursuit of a fulfilling the mission of Camphill Soltane.
