Be part of the Sojourner Truth Walk on May 6!
Walk in the footsteps of great women leaders by being part of the 5th annual Sojourner Truth Walk 5K on Saturday morning, May 6.
WHEN: Saturday, May 6 starting 10:00am, ending 1:00pm.
WHERE: The walk starts in Clark Park at 45th and Chester and ends with a finish line celebration at 48th and Baltimore Ave.
WHAT: 5K (or 3K) walk and post-walk celebration including food, music, and speakers. Walk in honor of a girl or woman you admire and celebrate women’s leadership and social justice. This is a family-friendly event, are all welcome!
HOW: To register or get more info: http://wizathon.com/sojourner-truth-walk. Registration rates are $0-25. Registering in advance with $25 includes a walk t-shirt! ($10 for youth)
WHY: Get some exercise and raise money to benefit Camp Sojourner, Girls’ Leadership Camp, a nonprofit program based in West Philly, providing affordable overnight summer camp and year-round leadership programs for Philly girls ages 8-17.
