On April 6th, PHENND hosted a webinar featuring representatives from Let’s Get Ready (LGR) and Hostos Community College in New York. Through partnerships with CBOs, high schools and universities, Let’s Get Ready leverages a near-peer driven, texting-based curriculum and virtual advising model to support students through college graduation. The texting-based curriculum focuses on timely reminders as well as virtual relationship building and resource sharing, and is currently supporting college enrollment and graduation for 3,000 high school seniors and 9,000 college students nationally. LGR and Hostos discussed their partnership and shared insights and lessons learned about effective collaboration as well as updates about the work Let’s Get Ready has begun in Philadelphia.
