United Way is your local partner to drive measurable, lasting impact that none of us can achieve alone.

In July of 2012, seven local United Ways joined forces to form a new organization, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ), encompassing Montgomery County, Delaware County, Philadelphia County, Camden County, Burlington County, part of Chester County, Cumberland County, Atlantic County and Cape May County. The merger was the result of the recognition that the region shares common issues which are rooted in the educational, income and health needs of the millions of people throughout the region served by UWGPSNJ. United Way has, for nearly a century, responded to the needs of the local community while simultaneously addressing the root causes of key issues.

The Senior Vice President, Impact and Innovation will serve as the lead of UWGPSNJ’s impact agenda in the community at large, reports to UWGPSNJ’s President and CEO, Jill Michal, and is a member of the executive leadership team. The individual will work toward the dual goals of increasing United Way’s capacity to drive measurable, lasting impact throughout the region and cultivating relationships that enhance the organization’s ability to attract new resources to support United Way’s goals, ensuring that its work is able to make positive lasting change in the community. The individual provides leadership and direction to the setting of annual goals and metrics related to the impact agenda, oversees the execution of the financial investment strategy, and actively ensures the effective management of relationships on behalf of UWGPSNJ with funded organizations, corporate partners, donors and others on which achievement of the impact agenda is dependent. The incumbent represents UWGPSNJ in a variety of external settings to demonstrate the organization’s impact agenda, community leadership role and to advance the understanding of UWGPSNJ’s mission. The Senior Vice President, Impact and Innovation will prioritize internal goals and objectives, as well as continue to further refine and communicate UWGPSNJ’s integrated post-merger impact vision and agenda to external constituencies. The individual will be committed to the vision of UWGPSNJ and passionate about effecting positive long lasting change in the region.
