Scholars in Service to PA/Community Fellows Summer Institute

Attention all Community Service and Service Learning Administrators and Faculty!

PHENND and PA Campus Compact present… 2013 Summer Institute

The Summer Institute will bring together community service and service-learning professionals from across the state. The institute is designed to focus on building skills and techniques for volunteer training, group facilitation, and student development. Check back for more details.

Date: June 10-11, 2013

Location: Widener University, Chester, PA

While the primary audience will be those administering the Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania and Community Fellows AmeriCorps Programs, all other Community Service and Service-Learning professionals are encouraged to attend for a modest fee which covers all meals and materials. Workshops will focus on a range of topics, not all of which will be specific to AmeriCorps.

To make a reservation, call 610-872-8100 by 5/24/13.  Rooms are under the block name “PA Campus Compact” and are $99/night plus applicable taxes.  While registration and meals part of the orientation will be covered by PACC and PHENND, travel and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the host site.

Agenda: The agenda is still being finalized but we will begin on Monday at 10 AM (Registration) followed by a welcome at 11 AM. There will be a group dinner on Monday evening at 6:00 PM. Tuesday will begin at 9 AM and conclude by 3:00 PM.
