Saturday School at Lea
Posted by on September 13, 2002
Dear tutors, prospective tutors, or other interested community adults!!
The successful Saturday morning reading tutorial at Lea will start up again on Saturday the 21st of September under Mike Silverman’s guidance…. his wife and son will come as last year… She has made curtains for the large office, and there are chairs (comfy) rugs and it is now another space for reading with children in addition to the library. If you can do just one thing to help children to need an extra boost to take the giant step up to reading at their grade level, this is it… You might make the difference between a drop out and a successful grownup….Besides, it is very rewarding, both the library and the new room are very pleasant places to work, and the children are great… sometimes after the one hour session we do something extra, like make lemonade in the garden, or cook!
Come and Join the Friends of Lea Tutors…
just send Qs to me here at firstname.lastname@example.org, call 748-4689 or just show up if you want, at 9 A. M. on the 21st at the Lea door, on
47th St. just near the corner of Locust Street….
You will be glad you did.
Best Wishes and hope you are all well.
