Research Consultant, African Cultural Alliance of North America

ACANA is seeking a temporary Research Consultant to research and collect data for its Strategic Workforce Inclusiveness-Focus Training and Job Referral (SWIFT) Program. The research consultant will be responsible for research related to the development of the SWIFT program. This will be a part-time position (5-10 hours/week). The research consultant reports to the Program Consultant.

Responsibilities include:

* Identify potential employers in Philadelphia area to participate in ACANA’s SWIFT program
* Research statistics related to workfoce development in Philadelphia
* Compile and organize information on program participants
* Review and summarize workforce development research
* Additional tasks related to the development of the SWIFT program as requested by the Program Consultant

Qualifications and skills:

* A commitment to the values and mission of ACANA
* Well-organized and able to work independently
* Excellent writing skills
* Must have experience in research and data entry
* Knowledge of Excel and Word
* Experience and knowledge of grant application, editing and proposal writing process preferred
* Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years relevant experience
