Title: Research Assistant for grant funded study Hours: M-F, 30 hours per week, flexible, with late start Monday to accommodate evening clinic until 9pm

Duration: 18 Months

Department: Research Supervisor: Helen Koenig, MD

II. Job Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Research Coordinator, and study Principal Investigator, complete tasks assigned which are expected to fall within the following parameters. Perform other tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis. Tasks will include:

a. Complete all documentation as assigned, to include, source documentation in study or clinic charts, as directed, complete case report forms in a timely and accurate manner, and respond to and resolve queries from the study sponsor and regulatory agencies under the direction of the Research Supervisor

b. Perform clinical assessments (vital signs, anthropometric measurements, questionnaires)

c. Maintain study logs, as directed by the study Principal Investigator, including:

i. Study logs (financial purposes)

iii. Electronic logs

iv. Screening and enrollment logs

d. Participate in patient recruitment including chart reviews and database query reviews and perform such other patient recruitment tasks as the Principal Investigator assigns.

e. Maintain communication with study participants to ensure high percentage of participant retention, either by phone, email, text, or Facebook (as per patient/subject preference)

f. Assist study Principal Investigator in creation and maintenance of study database

g. Demonstrate commitment to Good Clinical Practices, maintenance of confidentiality, and informed consent.

h. Exercise good judgment in bringing any issues necessary to the attention of the Principal Investigator

i. Meet with research coordinator daily and with Principal Investigator weekly to review study procedures/issues/questions
