For 20 years, through a dynamic partnership between campus and community, SCALE has developed leaders who are agents of social change. As part of this commitment, each year SCALE hosts the Read.Write.Act. conference, which brings together people from around the country who are dedicated to creating a more just society by engaging young people in literacy education. SCALE will hold its second Virtual Conference this year on November 4-6, 2009, featuring web-based presentations on a variety of topics relevant to
literacy leaders, researchers, and students.

Following initial registration, we will send you information about signing up for individual workshops.  These will be scheduled between 10 am and 5 pm EST.

The conference will include the following workshops:
