Spark is an award-winning youth apprenticeship program, working to increase high-school graduation rates and re-engage youth in disadvantaged communities. Spark’s unique model helps at-risk youth during the pivotal years of 7th and 8th grades, connecting them with highly engaging apprenticeships in professional workplaces. Founded in San Francisco in 2004, Spark now runs programs in several cities, and has been honored with the Ashoka Fellowship and in media, recently with a feature on the NBC Nightly News.
