Jewish Funds for Justice seeks a Program Director for Partner Relations to coordinate service learning experiences with campus and community based partner organizations.

The Jewish Funds for Justice (www.jewishjustice.org) is a national public foundation guided by Jewish history and tradition. JFSJ helps people in the United States achieve social and economic security and opportunity by investing in healthy neighborhoods, vibrant Jewish communities, and skillful leaders. Our holistic approach to social change includes Grantmaking and loans, service learning, leadership development, organizing, education, and advocacy. We have offices in New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.

The Program Director will be the JFSJ professional leader in outreach, recruitment and enrollment of college campuses, synagogues and other organizations for Jewish service learning travel experiences. In addition, the Program Director will be the leader of a planning process for all service and learning travel programs including service sites, housing, food, transportation, speakers, and other logistics. Evaluation and data collection of service learning travel programs will be an important part of this portfolio.

Major Responsibilities:

• Enroll and manage 15-20 college campuses to participate in Alternative Spring Break Programs
• Enroll and manage 3-5 teen program partners
• Enroll and manage 7-8 partner organizations in Atlanta
• Interface with program partner staff and student leadership to identify locations, develop itineraries and support them in their recruitment efforts
• Coordinate logistics for each program and orient partner staff prior to programs
• Maintain up-to-date database of organizations, individuals and program partners.
• Work with Program Leader Coordinating Team to ensure each program is staffed appropriately h8and that staff are well-prepared for leading.
• Manage budget for all college programs and report to JFSJ finance department on program
expenses.

• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Strong computer and word processing skills, espec ially databases (Access and Excel).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks; must be self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work within a fast paced team environment.
• 5 plus years of work experience; professional and/or volunteer experience in service learning or other travel programs strong plus.
• Prior experience working with college students and teens a plus
• Knowledge of Jewish communal organizations

The Program Director will be supervised by the Director of Service Learning. This position will be based in either our Baltimore or Philadelphia Office.
