Job description
Lori’s Hands, Inc. is looking for an entrepreneurial, committed, service-oriented candidate to manage program operations, including client enrollment, student training and mentorship, and community partnerships. The Program Director will lead and mentor the team of Lori’s Hands students, leveraging the current volunteer base and recruiting new volunteers to expand services to additional clients in the community.

This role will report directly to the Lori’s Hands, Inc. Board Chair.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate new partnerships in the community to reach new clients and expand the program
  • Identify and address service gaps between current services and client needs
  • With the support of the Board of Directors, identify and act on new funding opportunities, including corporate sponsorships, foundation grant opportunities, and individual donations
  • Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and in accordance with the mission of the organization
  • Manage client enrollment; assess new client needs
  • Coordinate client services; ensure quality and consistency of provided services
  • With the support of Graduate Assistant and undergraduate student leaders, supervise student volunteers; ensure students are properly trained
  • Build and implement quantitative and qualitative assessments; report on outcomes to the Board of Directors and external funders and partners
  • Build and implement recruitment and training programs for student volunteers
  • Mentor and supervise the undergraduate interns as well as the funded Graduate Assistant assisting with projects and program development
  • Develop processes to document program activities
  • Potential responsibility for teaching undergraduate service learning courses related to chronic illness
