The Philadelphia Parks Alliance (PPA) is seeking a Program Coordinator to work as part of our three-person staff to generate broad public support for the parks of Philadelphia. We’re looking for someone who is able to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team, while responding to rapidly changing priorities with flexibility, humor and patience. The Program Coordinator supports PPA’s advocacy, organizing and education efforts by facilitating communication tools and strategies that support our mission.

Responsibilities include support of Director; management and content of our website & electronic communications and implementation of new communications plan including social networking opportunities; maintenance of database and constituent lists; outreach to park and community groups; editing and planning of advocacy materials and actions and other event planning; support executive director in preparation & submittal of grant proposals and reports; research; and basic administrative support.

Additional Qualifications:
• Interest in learning about urban parks and advocacy while focusing on maintaining efficient office systems that support these agendas.
• Extremely well organized with attention to detail as well as ability to understand the big picture.
• Computer savvy; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and Access, as well as online content management platforms.
• Must write well and be a good communicator and public speaker.
