Program Coordinator

Fresh Artists is a small, dynamic and unusual organization that is blazing new trails in the nonprofit world. The culture of Fresh Artists is highly collaborative, innovative and flexible. The organization is young and growing in scope. Primarily serving the Philadelphia and Norristown public school children, we also include artwork from children throughout the country. The small staff works as a team with each member having specific areas of responsibility, but collaborating around events and initiatives.

Fresh Artists:
•    Teaches philanthropy to K-12 public school children
•    Runs a corporate art program that displays large-format digital reproductions of children’s art in prominent and unexpected places
•    Collects and manages a growing digital art collection
•    Delivers art supplies to severely under-funded public schools
•    Designs and implements innovative art programs to schools
•    Coaches art teachers in ways to bring resources to their classrooms

The Program Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director and under her direction will collaborate on initiatives and assume responsibility in the following areas:

Art Education Programming

  • Works under the ED to run signature educational art programs (Mini-Masterpieces, Sprout Studio, Clothesline Art Sales) and programmatic special events (Annual Sprout Fest)
  • Creates program budgets and descriptions
  • Works with K-12 kids in school classrooms, teaching and assisting
  • Works with community volunteers and art teachers in schools to implement and evaluate programs
  • Works with art teachers through our Greenhouse Initiative to coach and connect them to needed resources

Project Support – Art Installation

  • Assists ED and Creative/Operations Director to assist in surveying facilities, facilitate selection of art, coordination of ordering, moving and installation of artwork, making wall labels and maintaining the database of installations

Program Support – Art Acquisition

  • Assists ED & Creative Director in the selection, registration and data management of new art acquisitions
  • Manages the FileMaker Image database in conjunction with Creative Director

Communications & Marketing support

  • Writes communications materials
  • Constructs and manages Constant Contact emails
  • Manages Social media with Creative Director

Full Time Position
Salary and Benefits commensurate with experience
