College Access Center Accepting Applications for Program Coordinator Position

Dynamic individuals with College Access, Secondary College Guidance, Financial Aid/FAFSA Completion, Post Secondary Youth Outreach experiences are strongly encouraged to apply for the recently vacated Program Coordinator Position at the College Access Center of Delaware County, located on the campus of Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.

The College Access Center is the result of a unique partnership involving the Presidents of six local Colleges and Universities (Widener University, Swarthmore College, Delaware County Community College, Cheyney University, Neumann University, and Penn State University-Brandywine). This collaborative effort led to the formation of the Chester Higher Education Council, a nonprofit organization established to address the educational needs of Chester City residents. Upon the establishment of the College Access Center, the vision for service to the community expanded to include providing services for any Delaware County resident.

Now in its 7th year, the Center has become the premiere out-of-school-time, academic support, and college prep resource for Delaware County students and families providing FREE services such as weekly SAT/ACT Test Prep classes conducted by Kaplan Trained Facilitators, 1-on-1 Counseling, Homework Assistance, Academic Tutoring, Financial Aid Completion, Scholarship Search, College, Career Exploration, Specialized Mentoring Programs, along with monthly information workshops.

For more information on the College Access Center, go to http://www.collegeaccessdelco.org.

The Mission of the College Access Center is to provide educational support services to students of all ages throughout Delaware County.
