COLLEGE CONNECTION AND THE YOUNG MEN’S INITIATIVE

Position Description

Philadelphia Futures’ mission is to provide low-income, first-generation-to-college students with the tools, resources and opportunities necessary for admission to and success in college. Philadelphia Futures is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative and logistical support to the College Connection team.

Significant responsibilities of this position include:
• Provide planning and logistical support in a fast-paced office setting.
• Maintain student records and prepare various reports on student performance and program objectives, activities and outcomes.
• Assist with the design, production and distribution of program communications.
• Assist with year-round recruitment efforts.
• Assist with basic office duties, including receptions, errands, purchases and other office support.
• Assist with the delivery of programs and provide administrative support for our Young Men’s Initiative (YMI) that provides gender-specific resources and support to our male students as they navigate high school and prepare for college.

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
• High energy and passion for our college access mission.
• Experience in an administrative/operational support role in a professional office environment working with students.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

This is a full-time, exempt position and offers a competitive compensation/benefits package based on experience. This position reports to the Director – Pre-College Programs.
