1. “Brave Testimony in the Classroom” focuses on using creative writing, particularly the poetry of noted author Elizabeth Alexander, to discuss civil rights and social issues in the classroom. With facilitator Herman Beavers, University of Pennsylvania. Ideal for middle- and high-school teachers. 2. “This is NOT a Test! Making Science Assessment Meaningful for Teachers and Students” focuses on using the arts in creating creative science activities and assessing student work.
