Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) National Truth Commission
The PPEHRC will be holding a National Truth Commission in Ohio this summer to expose economic human rights violations caused by poverty in this nation. The latest census reveals that up to 20% of Americans are living in poverty…this reality is hidden by our media and our politicians. The PPEHRC will bring this reality to light July 14-16 in Cleveland, OH as poor PPEHRC members from around the country testify at our National Truth Commission. This will be a major organizing and media event and we need a large volunteer staff to help make it a success. PPEHRC will need help with everything from print materials and staffing to transportation and childcare. If you are around the OH area this summer (or able to travel there!) think about spending a few days as a volunteer staffer with us on this historic event!
