CALLING ALL NONPROFITS

Are you a nonprofit organization, association, or board seeking passionate and energetic board members?  Board Speed Dating is coming and a qualified new Board Member could be in your future!

The Board Speed Dating event is an extension of Philadelphia’s Young Nonprofit Leaders’ (PYNL) Board Prep Program. (Board Prep is a comprehensive training program run by PYNL for young individuals who are interested in serving on nonprofit boards.)

At the Board Speed Dating event, nonprofit organizations will meet with graduates of Board Prep (or a similar program) who are interested is applying their skills to a nonprofit board. It is a great opportunity for nonprofits to promote their organization and connect with energetic, motivated, prospective board members who have completed a board training program. Each nonprofit will have a table and the Board Prep participants will move around the room.  Each “dating” session will last 3-5 minutes.

The event will be held Thursday, April 16 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Applebee’s Philadelphia, 215 South 15th Street, Philadelphia, PA. The cost is $35 per nonprofit. Each nonprofit may bring up to two attendees. Appetizers and soft drinks will be served and a cash bar will be available. Due to space/time restrictions, we will limit the event to 15 nonprofit organizations.

Because we are particularly interested in recruiting organizations that fit within the Board Prep graduates’ areas of interest, please contact me soon to reserve your spot.  There are limited slots in each category (Arts, Advocacy, Women’s Issues, Education, Environment, Healthcare, etc).  A reservation form is attached.  Please e-mail me at sfriedman@womensway.org to let me know if you plan to reserve a spot.
