School funding panel meets
The Pennsylvania Basic Education Funding Commission, recently formed by legislation in the state General Assembly, will hold its first public hearing in the region on October 16th at 10 am at a site in Perkiomen Valley, Montgomery County, to be announced.

Over 40 organizations have formed the Fair School Funding Coalition to ensure that schools across Pennsylvania receive predictable, equitable and adequate state funding. Their campaign will be launched at 12:30 pm in the Main Rotunda of the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, followed by visits to legislators informing them of their efforts.
