Discussion explores responses to the housing crisis

The Homeownership Counseling Association of the Delaware Valley, the Philadelphia Association of the Community Development Corporations and the Mayor’s Office of Faith-based Initiatives will sponsor Picking Up the Pieces: Partnering with Faith-based Organizations to Respond to the Housing Crisis, on Tuesday, November 10th.

As a result of the current housing and economic crisis, faith-based organizations and CDCs are experiencing greater demand for help with resolving foreclosures, finding creative pathways to new homeownership; and finding opportunities to rebuild financial security and attain permanent housing.

The event will feature a discussion with regionally respected housing counseling professionals, policy makers and funders about what is being done locally and nationally as well as what your faith-based organization or CDC can do to help those in need.

The discussion will take place from 9am-noon at Temple University, Center City Campus, 1515 Market Street, Philadelphia.  For more information or to register, call 215-732-5829 or click here.
