NOTE: This position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be available to interview at our Administrative Offices, no travel reimbursements are available.

The Outreach Specialist is a member of the Bethesda Beacon Team, responsible for carrying out Bethesda Project’s mission through our Housing and Supportive Service programs. This position carries decision-making, supervisory, administrative, program management and service delivery responsibilities and requires a thorough understanding of Bethesda Project’s homeless population.

Reports to: Director of Entry-Level Programs

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the Director of Entry-Level Programs to implement strategic goals for the Bethesda Beacon outreach program.
Work collaboratively with Broad Street Ministry or other host facility to maintain positive experience for guests experiencing homelessness.
Build and maintain relationships with guests that participated in the café and assist them in transitioning from homelessness.
Build referral relationships with collateral agencies.
Inform Director of Entry-Level Programs if any systems break down, problems arise, or tasks cannot be completed.
Develop and maintain a team of formerly homeless outreach workers.
Develop and maintain relationships with public and volunteer groups.
Provide referrals for guests to community resources and housing options.
Directly supervise operations of the outreach teams
Administer the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the outreach program, including the coordination of monthly data-gathering and reporting.
