Northeast Student Environmental Leaders Summit

Posted by on January 10, 2003

Hosted at Yale University, New Haven, CT
by the Yale Student Environmental Coalition (YSEC)

Saturday, February 15th, 2003

The purpose of this summit is to build a coalition of Northeast student environmental groups that can take on national issues that each school on its own could not address. Wey see a particular need for such an organized student movement now to respond to the Bush Administration?s efforts to rollback decades of environmental policy. This is intended to be a relatively informal gathering with only 2-3 of the most active student leaders representing each school. We hope this format will encourage as much inter-school conversation and networking as possible.

We will provide accommodations for all students attending the conference and hope that many of you will stay Saturday night so we can continue to share ideas and get to know each other better. We will also provide accommodations on Friday night as well if you decide to come in early. Bring a sleeping bag and whatever else you need for the night. All the sessions will be moderated by one of the student leaders. There is a lot to talk about and there will be many participants, so we will structure the sessions accordingly. Please RSVP to Billy Parish at billy.parish@yale.edu, or at (203) 887-5945.
