Benefits Outreach Specialist

Benefits Data Trust is a not-for-profit organization committed to making a positive change in the lives of low-income people by outreaching, educating, and applying individuals for public benefits they are eligible to receive. Located in Center City Philadelphia, our diverse and socially conscious staff enjoys a casual and productive work environment and most of all making a difference.

We are looking for qualified individuals to serve as Benefits Outreach Specialists (BOS). Ideal candidates are articulate, energetic, enthusiastic, and possess a willingness to assist the populations we serve. The primary responsibility is to clearly provide public benefit education and application assistance to low-income people over the telephone through a mix of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment.

Qualifications
· Outstanding communication skills (verbal, listening, needs assessment)
· Solid computer skills including MS Office
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work as a positive team member in a productive environment
· Prior non-profit/social service and/or call center experience preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
· Bilingual a plus (particularly Spanish)

We currently have openings for full-time Benefits Outreach Specialists! Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

Salary: $12+/hr plus comprehensive benefit package.
