Hope Partnership for Education is an independent, non-profit organization, founded and endorsed by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus and the Sisters of Mercy in June, 2002.  The mission of Hope Partnership for Education addresses the educational needs of children and adults from low-income families in Eastern North Philadelphia by offering services which include a middle school education (grades 5-8), a support system which follows students through high school and adult education.

Position Title: Non-Profit Business Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

Position Purpose: This part time position oversees financial processes and works with the facilities manager and IT consultant to coordinate facility and technology needs

Essential Functions:

 Manage and analyze financial operations – including working with program and department managers to develop, approve, and monitor workable budgets
 Maintain all financial records, banking relationships, audit responsibilities, and works with Development Director to assure that any generated revenue is accounted-for and used according to legal guidelines governing the organization
 Monitor insurance and benefits’ coverage
 Manages income and expense items
 Oversee facilities’ planning, maintenance, and custodial operations – monitors contractual and legal agreements and capital projects
 Oversee IT Consultant – coordination and communication and tracking technology needs

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business, finance, management or related field)
 Accounting Skills
 Computer Skills, including knowledge of Quick Books for Non-Profits, and some working knowledge of Sales Force
 Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
