Independent Sector Announces Call for Nominations for 2005 Virginia A. Hodgkinson Research Prize
Deadline: June 24, 2005

Independent Sector (<a href="http://independentsector.org/">http://independentsector.org/</a>) is accepting nominations for the 2005 Virginia A. Hodgkinson Research Prize.

The Hodgkinson Prize was established by IS in 1995 to recognize outstanding published research that advances the understanding of philanthropy, voluntary action, nonprofit, and civil society in the United States and around the world.

The prize is awarded to published researchers and practitioners who work in or with the voluntary sector. The research article, report, or book must have been published within the last three years.

Award recipients will be announced at Independent Sector’s 25th Anniversary Conference, October 23-25, in Washington, D.C. The award includes an honorarium of $2,000 for first place and $1,000 for second place.
