New Free Programs Coming to Mighty Writers Camden

Posted by Mighty Writers Camden on October 15, 2019

After school programs for middle grades and elementary youth will be offered Monday-Thursday for all grade levels, in a move to Mighty Writers full academy program. This means that youth will be taking on larger writing projects with a focus on rough drafts and revision— we’ll be able to track the progress we already know is happening!

Evening programs for teens will be ramping up, and we’re seeking participants! These will be offered one night a week and focused on areas of interest, from college and SAT prep to advanced creative writing. Also, one weeknight a month, we will be restarting our popular Girl Power workshops for girls aged 12 and older.

Sunday programs are also upcoming, and we couldn’t be more excited to share that this will include an hour of Mighty Toddlers, geared towards our very youngest writers! Sundays will also feature weekly Girl Power for those age 7-11, and other occasional and ongoing workshops to come.

Mighty Writers Camden is located at the Nick Virgilio Writers House, 1801 Broadway, Camden, NJ.

With the launch and expansion of so many programs, we are certainly looking for new volunteers—and participants! If something above catches your eye, or you’d just like to say hello, please reach out to Catherine Buck, new Program Director, at cbuck@mightywriters.org or 856-295-1465.

We’re taking Volunteer Signups here.
