YEF Institute Announces New Asset Building Technical Assistance Project

In response to municipal interest in building capacity to develop or support wealth-building initiatives to assist low-income working families, the YEF Institute invites cities to apply for a new technical assistance project, Cities Helping Families Build Assets. The YEF Institute will select up to six cities to receive technical assistance in developing initiatives to foster wealth building among this population.

Selected cities will attend two of four planned visits to cities that are already implementing asset-building strategies and will focus on ways in which municipal leaders can support and/or initiate asset-building initiatives. The deadline for cities to submit an application is August 9, 2005.
