The conference will bring together over 600 community builders from around the country to network, share strategies and celebrate the work of community building. Sessions of particular interest to practitioners in the community development field include “re-Neighborhing Community in Historic Bronzeville,” a neighborhood tour and community learning session organized by Genesis Housing Development Corporation, “Community Transformation in the West Side,” a neighborhood tour and community learning session organized by Bethel New Life , and “Chicago’s Public Housing Transformation Plan,” a workshop organized by the Near West Side Community Development Corporation.
