Mochas & Mentoring – Oct 30

Posted by MENTOR Independence Region on October 8, 2019

Mentors are critical resources for mentoring programs. Not enough mentors often means fewer opportunities for the youth involved in our programs. Low mentor retention means a larger investment of time and money in recruitment year after year.  But with limited budgets and limited capacity, how do we focus our efforts on the methods and tools needed to efficiently recruit and sustain great mentors? What motivates people to volunteer and how do we tap into those motivations? And how does mentor recruitment look different across mentoring models (I.e. one-to-one mentoring, group mentoring, team mentoring, or peer mentoring)?

Join MENTOR Independence Region at our next FREE Mochas & Mentoring event for a conversation on best practices and new ideas in recruitment! Hear from expert mentoring recruiter Elizabeth Caldarola, a 14-year veteran of Big Brothers Big Sisters! Bring your own ideas, experiences, and resources to the discussion. Have some coffee and meet some new people. We’ll cover it all at Mochas & Mentoring!
