Mentoring Opportunity: STEAM Scholars

STEAM Scholars is a program developed by STEMcityPHL, an initiative to enhance STEM proficiency and encourage employment in STEM fields and District 1199C Training and Upgrading Fund, who provides access to career pathways in healthcare and human services. STEAM Scholars pairs STEAM professionals with students at Roxborough High School to support in specialized career paths. The program will begin in October and workshops will be held twice monthly from 3:15 – 4:15 pm. Below are the tentative dates and topics for each workshop:

Nursing – October 12th & 24th

Engineering – November 9th & 28th

Behavioral Health and Psychology – December 7th and 19th

Forensic Science – January 18th and 30th

Radiology – February 13th & 28th

Intersections of Art, Health and Science – March 15th & 27th

Pet and Animal Healthcare – April 12th and 24th

Physicians and Physicians Assistants – May 8th and 24th
