Local Trainings Calendar – youth development & after-school

Posted by on March 14, 2003

Dear Colleague:

On behalf of Philadelphia’s Best Practices Institute-PMHCC, I am pleased to offer a summary of local trainings in the areas of after-school programming, positive youth development, and school age child care. For a free copy of the Training Calendar, email Nancy Peter at npeter@pmhcc.org.

As you review this calendar of workshops, which take place from March through July 2003, please note the following:

This is NOT a complete list of related trainings in the Delaware Valley! Rather, it is an attempt to consolidate the offerings of several large and small providers. If there are obvious trainings or agencies that have been omitted, please bring them to my attention.

These collective trainings are sponsored by many different organizations. Therefore, logistics, fees, registration procedures, participation requirements, credit allowances, and other details vary greatly from one to another. The contact information for each sponsoring agency is listed at the end of the calendar. PLEASE contact these organizations directly before deciding on or attending a training.

This Training Calendar may or may not become a regular publication. This depends, in part, on how useful it is to the after-school/youth development community. Any feedback on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, as always, for your commitment to nurturing children and youth during non-school hours. Please feel free to contact me with additional comments or for further information. For a free copy of the Training Calendar, email me at npeter@pmhcc.org.

Sincerely,

Nancy Peter
