The Common Market, http://commonmarketphila.org, a non-profit wholesale distributor of local food, is hiring a full-time Local Food Warehouse Manager. A mission-based social enterprise, Common Market connects local family farms and institutional food service at schools, hospitals and universities by delivering farm fresh local food 3 times per week. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is responsible and dependable.

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 12pm-8pm (with some flexibility)

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Inventory Management (Receiving, Assembly of Orders, Shipping, Storage and Handling)
• Carrying-out HACCP Food Safety Program
• Routing trucks
• Developing and implementing Quality Control program
• Managing Packing Team
• Maintaining constant communications with Operations Manager and Logistics Manager
• Some filing and other administrative tasks

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Scrupulous attention to detail
• Ability to quickly and efficiently solve problems as they arise
• High level computer skills- must have experience using inventory management software
• Produce or warehouse experience
• Must be committed to promoting local food
• Must be able to pass regular random drug tests
• Must be able to regularly lift boxes weighing 50 lbs
