Linking Food Banking and Community Food Security
Posted by on April 1, 2005
The Community Food Security Coalition and World Hunger Year are proud to announce the release of our newest publication, Building the Bridge: Linking Food Banking and Community Food Security.
This 24 page report explains how numerous food banks are at the vanguard of community food security efforts in their communities. It includes profiles of and interviews with ten food banks and food bankers engaged in a wide variety of community food security and self-reliance activities. It provides guidance for food banks interested in expanding their activities in these areas.
This report is part of a broader effort to build connections between the community food security and anti-hunger arenas.
It can be downloaded at http://www.foodsecurity.org or at

Also, you can order a complimentary copy from CFSC by contacting Meka Webb at meka@foodsecurity.org.
