Posted by PHENND on October 6, 2020
PHENND K-16 College Success Network Webinar Series
Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2020
Time: 10am to 12:00pm
Location: Zoom (registered participants will receive the meeting link)
Geared towards African-American males, the Center for Male Engagement (CME) provides its members with targeted academic and non-academic supports designed to enhance their skill sets, cultivate a sense of belonging and build resolve as they pursue a degree at Community College of Philadelphia and continue beyond.
Resources available to members include support coaches who serve as their primary advocates on campus, help them adapt to a college environment, lessen some of the barriers to academic success and encourage them to take advantage of the College’s many academic and social opportunities.
CME invites webinar participants to “learn more about how we do ‘the work.’ Learn about our approaches to holistic student support and how we accept, validate, and affirm male students of color. Our framework is broad and easily applicable to offices across nonprofits, higher education, and private companies. We’re excited to learn with you and grow together”.
