LEARNING FROM PITTSBURGH: AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MASTER CLASS (IN TWO PARTS)

Led by seasoned public and private sector industry experts, this innovative Two-Part session will feature case studies, insightful discussion and insider know-how. You will learn how to create/advance successful, mixed income projects in distressed urban areas using local, state and federal funding paired with private investment. Part One in Philadelphia will feature gurus from Pittsburgh’s Urban Redevelopment Authority, the Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group, Ralph Falbo Associates, Trek Development, McCormack Barron, and Community Builders.

Part Two, with an overnight stay in Pittsburgh, will focus on Pittsburgh’s Hill District, East Liberty and Garfield neighborhoods. You’ll see Pittsburgh’s success in action with behind the scenes tours, conversations with people impacted by these projects, and a crash course on maximizing financing options. Learn how to close on projects and operate them successfully. Take one or both sessions.
