Key to Community Grants – Apr 29

Posted by Philadelphia Foundation on April 16, 2019

Nothing is more important than building stronger communities. That’s why in 2019 the Philadelphia Foundation is launching a $1 million first-of-its-kind public grantmaking initiative in Philadelphia, entitled the Key to Community Grants. Its goal is to accelerate impact and strengthen connections among people and important community causes during and beyond the Foundation’s centennial year.

We invite regional nonprofits to submit their most innovative, daring and life-changing ideas. After initial vetting by an expert committee, voting will open to the public, with the Philadelphia Foundation inviting Philadelphians in the seven-county area to award first, second and third place to area nonprofits across three categories. In total, the $1 million in funding for big ideas will flourish into action-oriented programs that enhance the quality of life in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

There are three thematic categories of the Key to the Community Grants

  • Economic prosperity
  • The opportunity divide
  • Community and civic engagement

Applications due April 29th.
