2005 Playground Opportunities
KaBOOM!
KaBOOM! is conducting outreach to locate potential community partners in cities across North America to build playgrounds in 2005. Community partners will receive a four-book tool kit that explains how to plan a playground from start to finish; two months of step-by-step guidance from a KaBOOM! project manager; and a maintenance plan for the care of the new playground.
Ideal community partner candidates should serve children from low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds; own and provide land for a playground; agree to own, insure, and maintain the playground; be able to raise and contribute up to $10,000 cash toward the cost of equipment; and have the ability to recruit volunteers to participate in planning committees and to help build the playground.
There is no deadline.
